What was your very first job?
How old were you when you had it?
How long did it last?
Let us know :)

Who went with you?
Sure does sound like not much fun
Oh I remember those Bonanza steakhouses.
Wow a hostess at 15 .. very cool!
The pepper picking was in the HOT BLAZING sun of at least 98*!
Like they couldn't tell
Well hopefully you made a few dollars that day!
No tips then .. hmm .. tip jar .. and you believed them, aww.
Lesson learned no doubt for the future.
Have no recollection on how the food was, LOL
Can barely remember yesterday :)
Hello Cheri,
I always wondered what it would be like to work outside in the heat, it doesn't sound like fun.
What did you do, what kind of place was it?
Too bad about it though :)
my first summer job
it was a monday to friday job, a sunshine eggs.thats right i was the one who washed, loaded, collected, candled, and packed eggs. depending on the eggs.i used a suction cup thing that lifted i believe 36 eggs at once. if the egg was cracked the suction would be broken and all the eggs would fall.
stinky and messy.
i worked there my 16th summer.
i also got mono for working with the dirty eggs.minimum wage and the water we drank water that had javex put in it to kill bacteria.

I kind of fell into my first job.
My mom was the office manager for a john deere implement. WE lived in the boondocks and every once in awhile I'd ride to town with her in the morning and spend the day at the park reading, playing, riding bike and then go swimming in the afternoon. (Small town)
When I was in the sixth grade I was hanging around the implement so much that mom would put me to work filing, etc just to help her out. One day the parts inventory came in and I offered to help put it away and catalog it. When the day was done the boss bought me a pop (woooo big spender!) The next day I was hanging around again and he mentioned to mom that I seemed to know what I was doing as I was reconciling the cash drawer for her, so he said, put her on the payroll. So from that point forward I worked every summer and nights after school and on vacation days until I graduated from college....and became full time after that. I worked there for 10 years!
Eventually I was offered the office manager position for the neighboring town's john deere implement by the regional directors, but I turned it down because it was an hours drive away.
Instead I quit the job to go back to school again and moved on to a bob cat dealership :=)
