good monday!

today is a bit ccchhhiiilllyyy outside so i'm not doing much til later when i have to go out. i was just watching the ellen show. omg...she is too funny.
can't do dished as the hot water froze up again. ok...i could heat water but hey...it is a good excuse to let them slide.good there there are not many.
it is trash day so i guess i should get that ready. it is out at the curb i have more to add.

not much on the agenda for the except more job hunting. i do have an appt to take the civil service test in 2 weeks.i may go visit a couple friends if they are home.

i have to pick jeremy up from school the next 3 days as he was suspended from the bus. he has a ride in the morning with others.the driver does not like the kids from our development and is rude to them. jeremy told him to shut up and stop being rude.so he got turned in.ok...he did not HAVE to say "shut up" to the driver. i told the principal what i thought of the driver. alot of the parents have but they are short drivers so he is kept on. the kids are not bad. they do stay in their seats and there is no fist fighting and stuff like that. they are just loud and well...teens! most of them are from this development and are friends. they say alot of rude things to each other as teens do. the driver "thinks" they are fighting and turns them in. there are a few this week off the bus for stupid stuff like that. i told jeremy to just smile or wink when the driver gets like this..it saves from getting in trouble. mouthy teens...yikes!!!

have a good day

I have a few little out-of-the-ordinary things going on this week. Today after work, I WAS going to get the EKG & bloodwork I need before I have my reflux surgery in March. But I forgot to bring the paper I need. :o( So that gets moved to Wednesday, I guess.

I need to make my weekly trip to the library today. Amog other things, I had borrowed a DVD & ended up not watching it. It's called The Life of David Gale. Has anybody seen it? It was recomended on the Movies board, but I misunderstood what it was about. When I got it home & read the description, I decided against it. It's a suspense/action film. Not my thing.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment at 7:30 AM, before work. One, maybe 2 fillings. :( Haven't had a cavity in several years. Then after work, I need to go & get new glasses. Already had the eye exam.

Between all this & 4 hours of American Idol, I won't have much time to read after work. I'm currently reading Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult. Has anybody read her stuff? I've read several & really liked them.

Yes, I've read both of those. I think we read both of them on the Books board. Plain Truth took place right here in my county.

My Sister's Keeper is real good. Packs 2 unexpected punches right at the end.

I don't think I've mentioned the surgery. I have really bad reflux. I take 3 pills a day for it, & would have to take them the rest of my life. So I decided to go for surgery, which will eliminate the need for pills, if it works right. It's not a huge deal, but the first non-outpatient surgery I've had since my tonsils. It involves 5 1" incisions & is done laparoscopically. One or 2 nights in the hospital & about a week off work.
