Hi Jenny
You can post messages as long or as short as you want. No rules. Just right. ;o) Since you know brb & omg, you must do im or go in chat rooms. So you're pretty much up on Net savvy. LOL. I'm not married, no kids, but I *hear* that dh or ds can mean dam* husband or son, too. ;o)

Glad your dh is OK. A guy here at work who is over 40 & adventurous crashed his ATV in the woods last year. He was off work for a long time. Ouch!

Green Dragon! Wow! I haven't been there in 20 years. Funny place, where you see the weirdest of the weird of Lancaster County. LOL. I'll bet summer IS a drag near the shore. Ugh.

You hadn't mentioned your kids before. Don't worry--everybody talks about their kids. I talk about my furkids. ;o)

You're right. I do proof my posts to a certain extent. But usually very quickly, & sometimes not at all. My spelling & grammar are good, but my typing is not. I make a lot of typos, & especially have trouble getting capitals. I do often notice errors in posts. It's my nature. But unless it's unreadable, it doesn't really bother me.

Did you see the Idol thread? I loved Mandisa last night. So far, for me, she's the best. Chris is good, too. Lisa started out great but has been slipping. Same for Paris. Hope those 2 pull themselves back up. But it's much too early to say. I remember assuming LaToya was a shoe-in. LOL. So who knows?

Secret Life of Bees is an outstanding book. It tells the story of a young girl whose mother died. She's living w/her somewhat abusive father. She finds something that gives her a hint about an event in her mother's life, & she takes off to the little town where her mother had lived. She ends up living w/3 sisters, beekeepers, that had been friends of her mother. It's a wonderful story. :) Everybody I've talked to who has read it has loved it. Real "chick lit." Let me know if you read it.

Hi Jenny,
Good to see you back here :)

You can never write/post too much here .. no rules .. just have fun
Like that new one for DH .. can relate at times, LOL
Think most are at some point anyway.
Talking about our kids is something we all do because we love them so much.
Too bad on the allergies though .. he may grow out of it.
Might had a few when he was young but not anymore.
We have an AI thread where we talk about who was good last night & who wasn't.
Hope you'll give us your thoughts as well.
One of the great things about this board is we talk about anything & everything.
So jump on in

Hi Pat!

Thanks for the welcome. You live in NE PA. Is that near the Poconos or Stroudsburg? I'm not the best with geography. You are a sportymom? I guess your sons played sports. My 5 year old just started soccer last fall. He isn't going to win any awards any time soon. :) He cries at almost every game and practice. He told me he doesn't want to hurt anyone and he doesn't want anyone to hurt him. Isn't that cute? He is a sweet boy. He is very smart and good. He writes, and I should also mention, illustrates his own books. :) I think he might be an author someday.

I saw on your profile you area Gemini, me too. And you like Nascar. I grew up going to the races. Mostly local. Did you ever hear of Wall Stadium or New Edgyt race tracks? They had mostly modified stock cars, I think. I was young when we went. We did go to the Pocono track too on family vacations. I'm not that into it anymore, but my family is. My Mom loves Tony Stewart. She even dreams about him sometimes! It is cute. She gets mad when he is bad. I'm sure you know what he is like. There are so many young handsome drivers in Nascar now, don't you think? Who is your favorite? I also read that your son is a chef. That is totally cool. And your other son is driving??? I can't even imagine that. Is is hard with them growing up and not having little buddies? Are they your big buddies now or are they too busy??? I keep telling my 5 year old that when he grows up he still has to give me lots of kisses and hugs and come over and take me out to lunch.

I can't believe how hooked I get to AI. It is weird. I like Heather and Mandesa and Lisa probably the most. The guys, hmmmm...Chris, Elliot, Ace and of course Taylor. Elliot sings really good, but doesn't look so good. Is that mean? Taylor I always can't wait to see what he will sing next. Chris is cute and sings good. And Ace is the young hot guy who has a cool name... and can sing too. I think the younger girls just loooovvve him.

I better go. It is late. Thanks again. Byeeee!!!

Strange but I could never warm up to Anita Shreve, her style is slow for me.....
