hi jenny,
i am north of stroudsburg. as a matter of fact going to east stroudsburg on sunady am for soccer.
yes, my sons are into sports~ mostly soccer but also wrestling, track and baseball.jeremy plays for school and year round travel team. give your son some time...he is very young and at that age they really don't understand the game.he'll know better by 7 or 8.
that is really neat to write and illustrate at a young age. does he read yet?
i went to pococno raceway years ago when we first moved here. i liked going to time trials. now it is way too crowded to go. it is easier to watch on tv. have been a mark martin fan since he came onto the scene in busch races.stewart is lucky noone has decked him yet..but then they'd get fined and tossed out.i have not heard of the tracks yoou mentioned
i grew up in nh and went to lee raceway. alot of the drivers were there way back when it was dirt track.i ujse to go to the drags and funny car races up there too.
yes these kids grow up in a blink of an eye.i spend alot of time with jeremy going to his sports. justin just forgets i did it for him,too and it was just a few years ago.he says i spoil jeremy too much. LOL they do hang out at home some nights but they go off with their friends too. like tonite. justin working and jeremy off with the guys for the night.
my boys are stil huggy and i doubt they will ever outgrow it.i taught them to be that way.
have a great weekend

I liked Eden Close. It's her first book, aparently, before she became known. I was initially put off by the writing style. Don't know why, since I never felt that way about her books before. But I must have gotten used to it quickly, because I was soon into it.
It's the same general style as her others--a sort of odd storyline w/some suspense & surprises. A guy comes back home for his mom's funeral. It retells the story of a tragedy that happened next door when he was a teenager. The same mother & daughter still live in that house. He starts visiting the dsughter, who is pretty much housebound since the tragedy. He falls in love w/her, & eventually the previously-unsolved mystery of the tragedy is solved.
