On Sunday I went to Sam's club with my two perfect angels, ages 5 and 6. Just as I was walking in I walked past a mom that was pushing two kids in one of those double kid carts, and I overheard her growling at those kids, 'you WILL be good'. She sounded kind of mean and I felt bad for those two kids. This was a quick trip. 15, maybe 20 minutes, and by the end I was practically growling the same thing at my own kids. They were fighting over everything. If one helped push the cart, the other had to help push the cart. If one stood on the left side, the other had to stand on the left side. And they'd push each other out of the way to get what they wanted. (There was lots of pushing from my kids in those 15-20 minutes.) All this to say that I was guilty of being one of those parents with the naughty kids, and I could not get them to behave. Glad it was a short trip.
Hi Von, So hear you on children & their parents in public, yikes! Hopefully when mine were younger they were not like your describing ::blush:: Think today parents allow their kids to do whatevers more often .. you think? Now what's up with the grinding coffee beans?
How well I understand this Mary, Before I had my kids .. Seeing the kids with noses running everywhere, well I never! Said that would never, ever be *my* child .. Little did I know :)
I thought about this thread on purpose last night, Yesterday was a day of phone calls & such for me. However some never called back & that irked me! What is with not calling back .. now is that rude or what!
i too also have boys that run a muck in a store. (if its just me and them, but if dad or uncle come along they are both great)
one of my pet peeves is people who dont buckle there kids into a safety seat. i see it all the time driving down the road kids jumping all over the car. i do have a big mouth and i I do say stuff to them all the time. (i think that is what will cause my death someday)
grinding teeth...oooohhh i hate that
pacifiers in the mouths of older kids. we went tto the store the otherday and this little boy was 7years old and still had one in his mouth, with a clip attached to his shirt so it dosent fall on to the floor. whats up with that?
Oh I so agree Vicky, We have kids in the cud de sac that mess stuff up all the time ::sigh:: And the parents are where???
Turn signals & head lights .. how hard can that be, LOL KNow what you mean though .. safety should be a concern.
Those new carts at the market are cute, LOL Too bad they didn't have them when my guys were small .. might have helped. I remember the same side or how about the *who gets front*, Never a dull moment for sure :)
