Ever planned a surprise party?

IF SO; was it a success , was the person really surprised?

IF NOT: has anyone thrown one in your honor and were you truly surprised?

Ever planned a surprise party?Yes

IF SO; was it a success , was the person really surprised?Yes, for my DH every year.
unitl it was an expected thing. Then we stopped.

has anyone thrown one in your honor and were you truly surprised? When we first got
married, all our friends were getting married, too, so it was a simple way to entertain
at the time. That way no one got stuck doing all the entertaining and we shared the
fun.I had a surprise party as did everyone else at one time or another.

I always wondered about ways to get the person back into the party scene without being obvious....

I have thrown two. One for a friend's 30th birthday party. He was mostly surprised. The second was a surprise baby shower. Her mother told her. My pregnant friend told her DM that she didn't want any surprises and said you shouldn't surprise pregnant people...I disagreed and was really disappointed that all the work that I went through to surprise her destroyed by her need to control. :(
