Hi Bunny, I am from Vancouver BC I am ashamed to admit I have never been anywhere else in Canada except BC - but I have been all over the States. Its funny because I said to my dh this summer where gonna go somewhere in Canada. Do you have any suggestions where? Even when I was a child my parents alwas planned trips somewhere in the States.
Ive never heard "Herin-choker" that expression I know Canadians are called CheeseHeads I think because we all cross the line to the States to buy cheese LOL because its so much cheaper.
Hi Heidi, Well don't feel bad- I have never been to Vancouver! lol ! I know alot of people to go & rave about the beauty of the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton. It is really beautiful- if you are into nature! I used to go there almost every summer when I was young-found it to be it got boring- lol ! If you are young you might find it boring also!
If you are in the younger generation- Montreal is the place for you- a hopping place ! But if you do go, stay away from St. Catherine Street- it is a red-light district !!! Or even Niagra Falls (the canadian side) it is much nicer than the U.S. side !
Well, anyways, this summer take a trip to anywhere- it so much fun to see other parts of the country other than where you live- happy traveling!
Hi Suzan, Thanks for the welcome, this place looks fun and very fast moving. I did kind off just hope in I saw a link from a Stepparents board and it just seems very laid back and fun here so dont mind if I do hop on in. Thanks again.
Thanks for the suggestions Bunny. I may look into the Niagra Falls idea I have heard its beautiful. I am in my mid 30's so Im not really into the whole party scene - wore that out a long time ago. My dd is 6 and my step son is 17 so I try to find a balance for vacations although this year not sure if my ss will be coming with us as he has been working lots latley.
Hi Annette I live in North Burnaby, but work out in Cloverdale so I have a bit of a commute. I would love to move out to the Langley area but my dh will have no part of that plus I just want to get my son through high school (1 more year) I find everything so fast paced in Vancouver if I had my way I would probably live up in the Interior but unfortunalty at this time and point in my life I wouldnt be able to move there. Anyways thanks for posting and enjoy this rainy weather.

Hi Heidi
I am from Vancouver, BC as well. But now I keep at least an hour out of the city if possible at all times. I much prefer country living.
