It's spring and time for thinking about your gardens, or your container plants or window boxes etc... do you have a favorite garden shop?  What's it like, how far away is it, when will you start planting?

I usualy go to home depot,i went there this morning to get paint and also picked up a couple of dozen yellow and purlpe primroses, they were only 59c each,i will plant them tomorrow,to busy today.

I also sometimes get plants from wallmart, very good value.

Happy gardening everyone,it's so good to get outside again.

What a cool idea to have a coffee shop at a garden shop. Sounds like a perfect mix. And after I've been wandering the aisles for an hour, lost in my ignorance, it would be nice to sit & enjoy coffe. Wonder why the U.S. (or my part of it, at least) hasn't picked up on this idea?

i like going to the local nusery down in town about 5 miles from my house.the name is GROWERS. i really like the owners ~ they have owned the nursery over 30 years now.
they are helpful with any questions you need answered and give a good deal if you buy alot.
it is really neat place. they have geese and ducks that wander everywhere and their dog.sometimes kathy has her horse there, too. they have everything there.
on top of the garden stuff and a florist shop they have different animal feeds,a million wind chimes & horse stuff. when you go you get a little red wagon to pull around to load your stuff in. if it gets full you park & start a new one. i like getting potted plants there because i know they started them and i have never got bad plants there. the house plants are beautiful from them ~i also love getting my fushia plant there every year. they take really great care of the plants and flowers they sell. if they don't have something you are looking for they will get it and call you when it is in.

once in a while i will get a few plants from walmart or lowes garden center, too. if i am there and something catches my eye.

the hummingbirds love fushia plants and the petunias! my favorite fushia is the pink(almost red) with purple.

don't you love garden centers like that?

I agree it's so much better to buy the plants from the nursery who started the seed..!
