Oooo Suzan, can i come dye eggs with you? wouldn't that be nice :O)....will ds be home for holiday?
Yes, we do dye them my favorite color is blue dd's 8 & 4 like to write their names on them with the wax crayon
Last year I bought a Hello Kitty decorating package on clearance that my DD's will be so happy to use.....boo, i had a website saved (but it says no longer available :( that i found this year to glue yarns on the eggs, in a swirly pattern...they look so pretty, think we'll give that a try too :O)
I love boiled eggs all year round! When eggs are 18-count 2/4/1, I boil some up and use them for snacks, salads, stir frys, added to ramen noodles, whatever my imagination tells me. Even in tuna fish for extra protein!! Sometimes I crack the shells and put the eggs in colored water so the eggs get "Tye-dyed" when you take off the shells, for a pretty addition to your salad plate(colored side up) or on your cold snack plate.. if you're having a dab of this and a dab of that! I like pickled herring, beets and boiled eggs, maybe with a few slices of potato on the side, maybe not! Or a dab of tuna fish salad with boiled egg on the side and a pickle! Instant picnic lunch!!
Oh glad someone likes to do it... my ds also likes to daye them,,, he has his special hard boiled eggs and waits till the end and makes "radical" eggs.... all the colours so they turn out dark brown and grey.... whatever...everyone to their own.... hehehehehe now let me go take a look at that link!
thanks for that link that is wonderful ( I will borrow that link for my other board!)... so creative... love the napkin decoupaging .... I think that those are "blown eggs" though.. because who would want to crack open such beautiful eggs.... I'd rather put a string in them and hang them... also if it is sprayed with fixative (chemical) I would be hesitant to crack it and eat the egg... now the ones you makes with the yarn, I'll try that one this year... great ideas, thanks again..
Hugs, let yourself go wild, color some eggs and put them on the table in an easter basket.... looks pretty! Go hugs, go hugs shish gum bah...... LOL (I'm all wound up tonight)
