I know exactly how you're feeling.

it will remain high until he is 23. no bonuses for good driving at that age. the price is outrageous. however mine went down.

Not crazy at all Pat,
We did/do that with both our guys.
However oldest will have to be on his own very soon.
Think you're doing the right, smart thing :)

WE had our ds on our insurance car in our name for the past years... it was just cheaper... This is the first car that is totally in his name, payments coming from his bank( OK we put the money in his bank but he is still in college and not working), and insurance in his name, and yes, it was a much higher premium. but since he'll be graduating, we needed to think about credits ratings and things in his OWN name.... gee they grwo up so fast....

How old is Jeremy now?

Oh-- I remember those days!!~Heart attack Central !~ lol I Remember the days of teaching them how to drive (hubby could'nt do it- yells too much)- then getting thier liceince, the first time driving off-by themselves- in your car! yikeees ! Then they all had thier own car- it was actually cheaper- insurance wise !Insure in parent's name- then put child's name as the principal driver.

It is a big milestone in both of your lifes! Next step is going to Nite clubs when they turn 21 ! WOW- I disliked that stage! At least my kids went in big groups- plus always had a DD designated before they left here (my house was always the meeting place) They would be heading out for the nite & I would be heading to bed !! lol !!
