Yes I still have the piano my dd played on. It's in dire need of tuning, though, so even when I do plink around on it, it doesn't sound like it should.
Technically, though, it's my dd's piano - my mom bought it for her - so when she gets a place with room enough for it, it'll go to her.
I'm sometimes tempted to get the piano tuned so I can play around on it when I want, or dd can play it when she's here, if she wants (though she says she's forgotten how, lol), but never get around to it.

when jeremy was in band only 3 kids wanted the sax everyone else wanted brass- mostly trumpet. the band leader had a hard time getting parents to switch the kids. his friend who played sax said it was hard keeping the reeds the right moisture and the sax tuned. i think for some kids the keys may be too far apart for their little hands or it looks complicated.
i think it is great that she wants to learn other instruments. does the school have them or do you have to rent or buy your own? we ended up buying the trumpet. the boys shared it.
