WHAT A DAY!!

i am wiped. it was such a productive day :O) i was out and about early to the store and car wash. then i got dishes and laundry done.i stopped in here for a break.
i was outside most the day playing in the yard with my boys! we raked and cleaned up so many more leaves. that's what i get for living amidst a gazillion trees!!!
jeremy raked up much of the back and i cleaned the creen porch up. then we started back on the front yard. justin and jeremy fixed the rock wall and started a new one. looking nice! i trimmed up a couple trees and then raked and raked. it looks really nice. sure wish i had the $$$to cut a few of the trees down. we will take down some of the smaller ones. i made a couple more spots to plant some flowers. i will get a bucket of wildflower seeds to put around the side yard.
it is only 1/10th of an acre lot but alot of work.
it was just nice being out there with the boys doing all this. seeing them work together on the rock wall was really nice.

Hey- good for you, I'm sure you are wiped out, but it is a good tired- huh? Does'nt it make you feel good to look outside and see all the work that has been done by you & your boys.

It is nice to have trees around in the summer-BUT when you have to clean up after them it gets old quick ! We have both trees (mostly hanging over from neighbors yard) & pine trees, the pines are on the lot line, but those needles get driven in everywhere, especially under the pool cover, we try to put those water tubes along edge of cover (inground pool cover) put those darn needles get jammed under cover & make thier way into the water ugh! makes it hard to clear up the water.

Anyways, I bet you slept like a baby last nite-- hopefully you are not sore all over this am!!

Good job done !

Your post made me smile. How nice for all of you to be out there together. Nice to know that that still happens in this world. I would love to be doing yard work with my boys some day. They are little--5 1/2 and 19 mos. Although, my 5 year old, has just started carrying in some groceries. He is too cute. The other day he made one trip and I asked him why he stopped and he said "I'm too tired." Must be nice. he he he Hope your yard and rock wall turn out extra nice this year!! Jenny

thankfully i don't have any pines around me.i'm sorrounded by hemlocks, aspen & elms.as much as i love having trees around in the summer i get too much shade. i'd love to get rid of a few just to let more sun in the yard.

i must say the yard looks mice :O) i was really tired and slept well. my one shoulder is a bit sore and my hands are a bit stiff this morning. nothing a couple of arthritis strength tylenol won't help. i take them every day.

i sure do miss the age your boys are. they sound so cute :O) my boys had little man yard tools ...just their size. they thought it was great to help. even in the garden. of course they try to stop helping during the tween ages! even now they won't help every day. i am happy for when they do :O)
i'm happy about the rock wall. i've been trying to fix it but some of the rocks are way too heavy for me.
