I get most of my ideas from just browsing through department stores, trying to combine a few new things in with those things I have on hand...

Well, I guess it is seeing what other people are wearing & seeing the styles show up on tv. I don;t like shopping so I don't really window shop! I usually wear what cathes my eye, don't fall into the "have to have it" group ! Don't get me wrong, I don't dress like an old woman from the hills!! lol I dress stylish- but only what looks best on me- not the manequin! My girls would yell at me if I wore something gawdy!! lol !!!

I live in a clothing starved area.
We have to use our own resources to
get what we need. The Russian women
make theeir own clothing, and they
wear longer dresses and scarves/babushkas
on their heads all the time. The men wear
embroidered collars on their shirts.
Other than that, if you can afford to
drive from 80-250 miles one way to
another town or city, you shop catalogs
or from qvc or internet.Being a larger
size woman makes it even harder, because
a lot of stores consider a size 16 extra large
and don't carry anything larger so you have
to shop in the men's department, or hunt
for the extra large women's sizes that are
way overpriced because they are bigger.
Plus shipping, if they ever come. The last
order I got had a 2xjacket and a medium pant
in a jogging set. What's with that?
And it was almost two months getting here.
I ordered it a month before my birthday
at the end of March and didn't get it until
Easter. So what are you gonna do?

Hugs

Catalogs, I guess, but mostly I don't follow trends.
