I just had lunch, I guess that's what's generating all these "food questions" today! It's that time of the year again ! What smoothies do you like; share an idea..
Mango Apricot Smoothies
(You can add protein powder to make this breakfast and snack drink even more nutricious. if you don't like soy milk, substitue plain yogurt or regular milk. A coulple of tablespoons of honey will give it the sweetness kids like)
1 cup plain soy milk
4 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 ripe mangoes peeled, and chopped (about 2 cups)
6 apricots, peeled, pitted and chopped (about 2 cups)
6 to 8 ice cubes
Place soy milk, lemon juice, vanilla extract, mangoes, aprictos in a blender. Process aobut 8 seconds. Add the ice cubes and process 6 to 8 seconds more until smooth. Pour into tall glasses .


Watermelon Mint Smoothie
Ingredients
1 to 2 cups seedless watermelon chunks
1 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, or to taste
1 cup lemon yogurt
Dash cinnamon
Directions
Puree watermelon, honey, and mint in a blender
or food processor quickly–do not over blend.
Pulse in the yogurt and cinnamon just until smooth.
Enjoy while watching your morning begin!
I never have smoothies.
However have bought the low calories one at the market.
They're ok as long as they are strawberry :)
