My mom got burned a few years ago (not from the sun) but she has to put on a lot of sunscreen in those areas because the skin is very young. She was told to put the stuff for baby's on. Because of that she is also very careful.

I am also very fair. I burn very easily at the beginning of the summer. I wear sunscreen right through the summer but I don't need really strong stuff by the end of the summer.

I put tanning oil on once (I don't remember the strength) and because I was so fair I sat out in the sun for about 15 minutes and I was as red as a beet. It hurt for almost 1 week. I never did it again.

I know what you mean about the snow and the glare. I wear sunglasses in the winter if we are travelling otherwise I will get a headache and my eyes will get tired quickly.

ewwww- ouch ! You must be very fair! I usually get kinda red 1st time in the sun- then goes into a bronze color. My grandmother was part Cherokee- so I think I got her skin tone, 2 of my kids did too, the other 2 get red all the time! My brother gets dark- he has been mistaken for an hispanic- he-he! We are not, we are Canadian-Scottish !

I have very white skin, and blonde hair. You are lucky that you don't burn that easily.
