This house that I'm renting from my SIL (the nice SIL), had no flowers.  She's a workaholic (a true workaholic) nad never took the time in the 20 yrs that she lived here to plant any flowers.   This is so horrible for me ( I love plants and flowers).  So dh and I decided to enhance the lawn (it's a tiny little patch about of garden enough for a small table and 4 lawn chairs.....

Because iof the gorgeous warm and dry temp here we decided on roses.   So I found a wonderful peach/coral/ yellow  bush rose it is soooo pret ty.    Then we liked it so much , that we went and bought a bright red rambling rose for the fence,  a pink and white one for the side,   a yellw and red comb for in front....

I'm hoping when SIL sees it she will love them........    I'll try to take a photo today......

i love the bleeding hearts. they are so hardy and grow very big. you can break the apart and plant elsewhere.

I wanted Large panseys this year, but the local green house didnt have any.Lilacs grow all over the place here. we have a hedge that boarders our property that is lilac.Sorry to say that it is a pain in the butt!! It keeps growing into our lot! Make sure you plant it somewhere where it can't take over.

I also have lots of petunia in my year...and some hummingbirds.I planted a butterfly bush too to attact them

That sounds so pretty. I love Roses.

My mom had a rose bush. She called it
an Old Fashion Rose. It was more pink
than red. I loved the smell. I wish I
knew the name of the rose.
