What makes your house feel like a home?

Is it the cozy furniture, big throw pilows, the colors you painted the walls, the carpeting, the family? What makes your house feel like a home?

Not to mention all my furkids :;blush::
Not much breakable or a stay away from look :)
Nope they know better, LOL
Seriously .. that's never been a problem :)
1) my kids
2) my pets
i say everything
I think the comfy furniture & casual atmosphere! My philosphy is there is always room for 1 more, Come on in, grab a seat, no seats left, there is alot of rug to sit on!!! lol
My household is not fussy, I don't spaz out if you put down a glass on a wood table or leave a plate where it should'nt be. All my kids friends while growing-up used to love our house, they said they always felt welcome & always a place to sleep if needed!
I can't stand a stuffy house (like SIL's) nobody is ever at ease over there! She cleans sooo much it drives everyone coo-coo! Sit down & talk with your company & family- ugghhh!
I like to move the furniture around when I clean seasonally, but DH hates it!
He always wants me to leave everything where it is. But magically, for some reason,
when it's been there for a while, the next time I get the itch to clean,he wants
to leave everything where it is, AGAIN!So I keep doing my thing, and he gets cozy
no matter how it's arranged.
Best of all, the smell of fresh baked bread or a fresh pot of coffee welcome
anyone who happens by or back home!
Ha
Hugs
Blowing kisses in the wind!
