at 6:00am, my DD (Matthew's mom) called & asked if I could watch him- as he has been coughing & starting to wheeze-- I said sure- bring him down.
He only napped for about half an hour, woke up screaming (not like him at all), coughing, and banging his ear, so I gave him some tylenol & cough med. He did'nt want anything to drink, being real fussy, then started wheezing again, so gave him his ventolin via Nebulizer---still not a happy camper! tried to give him lunch-- wanted not part of that! I called his Dr, gave me an appt within an 1/2 hour. Packed-up & went to see Dr. Well, even tho I had given him a breathing treatment on 45 min before, Dr said that he was on the edge of having a major asthma attack- significant wheezing in both lungs, 2 ear infections!!!!! yikees! Good thing my motherly instincts told me to call dr. So he is on Ceclor for ears (amoxilcillin now longer works for him) , prednisone liquid, ventolin via neb every 4 hours, pulmicort 2X a day via neb . That darn prednisone works wonders, but on the other hand it is evil- can;t sleep, hungry horrors, jittery ! (I take myself alot)
My poor baby boy, he was sooo tired, I took him home. gave him his meds & a bottle & said nite-nite! Then when mom & dad came home- I told them the whole story. I did'nt tell them before I went, because why worry them any more, there was nothing they could have done!!When I was leaving thier house, Matthew's Dr was calling to check on him- I thought that was nice !
Hopefully, tommorrow the cast will come off--they will x-ray first, & then saw off that HEAVY cast !! Yikees, Gramma is a tired gal!!!

Talk about a day, whew!
Hope he feel much better in the morning :)
Yes, we have been thru alot together ! It all started 13 month ago- when he decided to come into the world 2 month early!I took DD to the hsp--as DH was in the Fire Academy, he did get there for the hectic birth! I saw that lil guy peek his head out inch by inch & saw him take his first breath & have been there for him & parents ever since! I would'nt have changed a thing- except I wish his birth was 2 months later as it should have been !
He is the light of my life-- as I am sure my other two grand babies will be!
I hope he gets better soon. You sound like such a wonderful grandmom, bet you spoil them with lots of love
