HI Ladies,
Last night I went to my first belly dance class! I went with a friend and we had such a great time! I just thought I would ask if any of you have ever tried it, or if you'd like to, or if you'd never have anything to do with it?

It's very popular around here.

I'd love to know your thoughts.

I have wanted to try belly dancing but I have never done it. They offer it at the gym. I think I will try it now that I am finished school for the year.

I've been wanting to try that !!!

Our local Comunity College has just started offering a belly dancing class. It's kinda pricy for me as I'll be laid off from work soon. I'm going to keep my eye the class to take it when I'm back to work in The fall.

Hi Paula!
You should try it! Try looking around for cheaper classes.
This class that I am doing is $12 a week and $2 goes to the YWCA.

Sorry to hear that you'll be laid off. What will you be doing during that time off?

When I was in Greece I saw some beautiful belly dancers.
I think it's great exercise and I'll looking forward to learning it :o)

How are things in Turkey? I enjoyed visiting the markets there.

LOL...actually that is part of the beautiful thing about it! Both of the teachers have bellys and they look beautiful- it helps you to see that their beauty is in their confidence. If it's something that you've wanted to try- just go for it! You'll learn and feel more confident.

Hi Hugs!
Monday was just the intro. class- next week we start with designing a routine. LOL, at the end of the 7 weeks we are putting on a show. Yikes!!

But it was loads of fun and I'll looking forward to the next class. It was good exercise too.... I could feel in in the muscles that I have not used in a while! It felt great to be doing something creative, fun & good for me all in one!!

Belly dancing isn't that big around here. The college is the first place I've seen it and for me right now it's costly.

I work within the school system so I'll have the summer to relax and have fun with my daughters.
