We do it all !! We have wonderful fireworks- they last about 45 min- which is pretty good- our wonderful Firefighters raise money all year long for those 45 min ! The parade is pretty good- with the clowns, floats, vintage cars, marching band, the vets from all over-- they always get a BIG round of applause! And of course, my favs, my ancestors, the bagpipes- bring tears to my eyes- My brother, his wife & I stand there & clap for at least 10 min- people begin to stare--- so what I feel proud as a peacock when I hear those bagpipes! Love the 4rth of July-cook-outs, parades w/ friend & family, fireworks, then our lil display at home! It is fun !!! When my kids were little - they looked forward to the parade so much- we would put lawn chairs in the back of DH's dump truck & they could see & the clowns always came over to them! Then we would drive uptown to watch the fireworks- I would put a blanket down & they would lay down in the dump & they could see well without getting a crick in thier necks! fun-fun-fun!
