Good Morning,
For those of you who don't already know, my hubby and I are beginning the process to adopt baby #2 from Guatemala. We had our homestudy visit this morning here at our house. (This is when the social worker comes to our house to make sure we have a safe environment for a child to live in, and to ask questions about us, our families, raising kids, etc.) Since we went through this a little over a year ago, we only need to do an update, so our SW was only here for 1/2 hour this time! (Last year she was here for 2 hours!) It went GREAT :o) And Ethan was great too...he flirted with her and showed off for her too. (Did I tell you he took his first steps all by himself on Friday last week?!)
So, now we wait for her to write up our update (which will take 2-3 weeks) and finish getting our paper work together for our dossier (the papers needed for the international part of the adoption) and then just wait for a referral! We are hopeful that we will have everything together and ready to go by the end of July / beginning of Aug. *fingers crossed*
Thanks for letting me share :o) Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Hi,So happy on the home-study going so great & short !!! Hopefully everything else will go along smoothly also!!
Yipeee- on Ethan taking his first steps- so thrilling! Our Matthew is just starting to furniture surf- he forgets his feet have to follow his body! lol He is abit slower than others his age- but since he was a preemie- Dr told us he would be behind by 2-3 months- then by age 2 he would be all caught-up. He is ahead on everything else- talking, teeth, hand-eye coordination is excellent, weight & height he is off the charts! being in a cast for 1 month did'nt help things either, when he just about ready to crawl !
Oh well, Congrats on both parts !!!
