yes,she couldn't get a passport to go to Italy,Spain and France (I think I told you about how she got up at 6:30am and went to the embassy where there were already 500 people in line to get passports...! She was directed to go to another building where there were 200 people in line and had to wait there in the hot sun until 2:30 to go in. After all that, they still denyed her request, and so the next plan was for them to go to Morocco. But it would cost them $4000.oo dollars for her to join a tour group. Too expensive for a young army couple. So with time running out, they had to settle for two weeks in Cairo,Egypt. They toured the pyramids, took a riverboat cruise, and rode camels to the Spinx. She had to leave to return to her college classes and exams,in Peru. he went on to Spain and ran with the bulls in Paloma for a few days before returning to duty in Iraq. We got a lot of neat pics by email that I haven't printed out yet, but I will, soon.
I only have 13 magnets on my fridge right now. I recently threw a bunch of really old ones away. My favorite is one that my daughter made for me when she was 5, it has a picture of her on it. I use them to put reminder notes & pictures on the fridge. Oh, my other favorite is one that has shoes on it & says "if the shoe fits, buy two pairs".
i have at least 65- all shapes and sizes but most are small. i get one for a souvenier when i go somewhere.hmmm...my favorite one? the small tile with a seagull sitting on a post from perkins cove , maine or is it the flip flop from virginia beach?
what else is hanging there? pictures of my kids & my sisters kids, drawings, appt cards, coupons, soccer schedule, one magnet clip holds business cards.all kids of stuff..no room for dirt on my fridge..LOL
One magnet, and I can't quite remember what it is - it's something that the previous owners left and I never bothered to take out lol...
In Florence we had a sheep magnet that would sing an Irish song (can't remember which - I accidentally put it somewhere where the other couldn't find it, as they'd play around with it in the middle of the night or at parties, and drive me crazy with it lol), and photos of babies (our respective nephews and nieces). Oh, and in the summer the opening hours of the pools.
