Good morning all!  Hope you had  a nice weekend.

My ds left for college on Saturday morning, arrived safely (phew, German autobahns with no speed limits make a mom nervous).

Went out to dinner with some friends on Sat night to a Brazilan restuarant, it was different.... but it was tooo loud for good conversation and WAY too smokey.....   no laws on smoking in public places here and it just kills us : literally.

Weather is rainy and damp, makes my joints ache.... plan to wear a fleecy jogging suit today!

What's up with you all,  would someone pass the donuts please?

HI, as you all know my weekend was laying on the sofa or in bed!! I don't like feeling tired, weak & achy ! DH has been so good ( which is different- he does'nt do much around the house) watching him wash a few dishes- is driving me nuts- told him to put them in the dishwasher, but he insists on washing them by hand-yikees! I did do 1 load of laundry & it took the life out of me ! urgh! Can't even pick-up my babies! Poor Matthew can't figure out why Grammy is'nt picking him up- 27 lbs is way too heavy!

My bones are achy too- rainy & chilly 50's here in Boston, gonna get the sweats out too! Hey is there a lemon danish among those goodies over there-can't stretch my neck over there!! lol

I'm glad you updated us on your recuperation, it will take awhile..... you must be patient , rest and relax and you will heal faster....

Can you turn your head at all yet side to side?

thanks for the danish-- abit more tea would be great !! lol

Yes, I can turn my head from side to side a little more everyday- I can turn about 1/4 turn in both directions now- making progress ! I will be glad when these butterfly strips start to peel off- I have 10 of them! Dr said when they start to curl up I can peel them off the rest of the way- but they don't seem to want to budge- I soak them everyday in the shower- then later in the day hold a warm face cloth on them- to try to help release- but I guess they will come off in due time !! I know-- patience ! Plus, this weather is rather depressing- perhaps I will see whats on the pay per view movies on cable- I am not a movie watcher- but since I only have time on my hands -- might as well try & watch something !! lol

Oh don't get nervous !!!! I have stiches internally, that will disolve. On the outside , after surgery I had 10 clips- holding incision together- plus a type of "super glue" for incisions, with a massive dressing. Before I was discharged, the clips were removed- abit ouchy, (the adhesive dressing was worse- would'nt release under chin- big ouchy!) then the butterfly thingy's were applied. Dr told me I could get them wet, but only pat gently dry- duh- no kidding!

Don't worry, I am not a bad girl, disobeying Dr's orders !! lol
