LOL I bumped into one of his old teachers recently, and when I told him about DS1 running the bulls, he thought a minute and asked if any of the bulls got hurt? (He remembered my DS1 was Alaska State Heavyweight Boxing Champion for one year before being deployed!)
that is too funny :O) i can imagine the bull running away!! i use to like watching the pofessional boxing. jeremy thinks it should be a high school sport. this way there'd be less fist fights in school or in the parking lots after...LOL
Well I can't imagine DS1 as a boxer, anyways, he was always a smart, quiet student, who was active in a lotta sports. He played college football and became DS2's hero when he was allowed to "walk on" to the Montana State football team without having to "Try Out" for the position. His grades were good enough, and he was on the team!! (Hey Mom, I have 100 new friends!!) Ha
LOL Thanks,My DS2 got a five-year scholarship for xc running, even though he xc skiied until his junior year in hs, then switched to running.( and ice climbing, mountain biking, rock climbing, mountain climbing, golfing, pool, then got rid of his paintballs and skateboard-too easy to get in trouble with!)
both my boys played soccer since kindergarten right through high school. they also wrestled & track. in track justin did the long jump & pole vault while jeremy ran hurdles. i had to close my eyes a few times on the pole vaulting as he almost missed the landing mat once. jeremy is short so was alot of fun watching him clear hurdles.
they had paintball guns for awhile. luckily & happily they broke :O)they never liked hiking and climbing.
Yeah, I can relate to that! DS2 made it to the Junior Olympics in our area. He was in high jump. He was good, for his size. And he made it to the semi finals. But his opponent was a beanpole future basketball star in the area, and my DS2 was atheletic, but hadn't started growing yet. So this other kid was a foot taller than my son and he, of course won the trip to Disneyland. But my son kept his head and shook hands with his friend at the end. He made a lot of friends competing through the years, and they all stayed close after school let out and the college years were over. Hugs
