Oh Hugs, I'm so sorry about your dog. I know how hard that is. I'm still not over the loss of my precious "Beardog", it'll be a year next month. I'm sending a great big hug your way & hope you can feel it.

Hugs, Kim

Awww thanks Kim,
It helps as you know.
Interesting on your *beardog* ..
We called Ginger our golden *Bear*, Gingerbear often as she was just that.
Over time I know will help.
Appreciate the hugs :)

Hi Hugs,

My Beardog was originally Fluffy Bear when we first got him. He was 9 weeks old & looked like a little fluffy bear. As he got older & bigger he became Beardog. When he passed away, my boss' wife had a blanket made from a real picture of him. She gave it to me for Christmas & it has been the most thoughtful & heartwarming gift I have ever gotten. It's a beautiful blanket & the picture of Beardog is actually threaded in the blanket, It's not like an iron on. I'd never seen anything like it before.
We also planted a bush ( I can't think of the name right now) in my parents yard as a memorial & it has grown like crazy. These things help some, but it does just take time.
I'm hoping I can really get past it after the one year anniversary next month.
Some people think I'm crazy to still be upset, but they just don't understand that to us he was our boy. We also have a clay paw print that the vet made for us. I wish there was something I could do for you. Just know I will be thinking of you & your family. :)

i don't think you're crazy. i still miss my "buck". we had him put to sleep 8 years ago now.he was the best dog and so much fun.we have a picture of him in a frame and one of his hankiescarves hanging from it.he had got a new one everytime he went to the groomers.he loved wearing them. i kept the card from the vets office with others.

your blanket sounds really nice. that must have took along time for someone to make. how thoughtful :O)

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's amazing how much our furbabies become part of the family. If only they could live longer. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))

Hey Kim,
Of course I totally understand.
We have lost a few & while yes time helps ..we never forget.
That blanket sounds just beautiful.
What a treasured memory/keepsake.
Sweet idea on the bush being planted as well :)
