Having a bad week

Good Morning ladies,

I am not haivng a good week. As per my previous posts, I had teeth pulled. As expected, I am still in pain. It gets better on and off. I am on clyndimicin. Is still hurts sometimes when I open my mouth and when I chew. It got better, thank goodness.

Thursday, I brought my cat to the vet. She is on medication for a liver infection. She lost weight a few months ago and was dehydrated. She has been getting better, eating and drinking like her normal self. When we brought her the vet says, she is looking good, you don't need to bring her back for a few months. She tapered down her steroid medication. Well she called back with the blood test results and said the count was at 1700, up from 600. The normal count for the enzymes is 100. Now we have to go back to giving her more steroids and have her checked in 2 weeks. I am nervous. The poor kitty is acting normally and seems to be doing better. I don't have confidence in this vet.

I hope the rest of the weekend gets better.

Thank you for listening.

Chrissy sorry you're mouth still hurts, just hang in there.

Can you take the cat to a different vet?
I dont like my dogs (Sophie's) vet either, just over a year ago they told me she had only 3 months to live cos she has cancer,Sophie is still with us and doing great, that vet put me through so much pain,i will never go back there.

Hope everything turns out alright.

Hi Chrissy. I'm new here so I didn't see your previous post, but I'm sorry your mouth is still hurting you. Hopefully you'll feel better as the weekend goes on. So sorry to hear about your cat too. I think it's time you get a second opinion. Is there another vet you can take her too?
