i am pacing because jeremy called 1/2 hour ago. his father is taking him to the ER for his ankle. he got hurt~again~ and needs an xray this time. they think it may be a fracture.
i am without a car so i cannot get there. jeremy called back & said he doesn't need *sniff* me...*sniff* he's a big boy...almost 18 *sniff* . tough when they get growed up...ain't it? they just think they don't need their mom..just wait....

so now i'll just sit & wait to see how long he'll be. he is at a good hospital. he didn't feel like driving the half hour to our local hospital where our doctors work out of.he is going to call me as soon as he can or have his father call while in xray because can't use a cell phone inside the hospital.
i'll let you know what i know when i know... got that? LOL

wow.....that was quick!! he went to the new ER EXPRESS UNIT. in...xray...out. just a bad sprain. got an air cast and crutches for a week. OWIE...sprain hurt worse and are harder to heal than a fracture.
well...i must go dig in the closet for the crutches. chat later

that was fun getting him in the house. do you think his father would get out of the truck and help us? NO...the jerk.he was in a delightful mood.
he is in a bit of pain and a fat ankle. got to make a followup for monday morning.
now the arguement is on because he is suppose to keep the ankle elevated 24 hours. he is insisting on going to school. it is only the 3rd day of school. we'll see in the am. if he feels like leaving school he can call his brother to come get him.

he just took motrin pm so should be falling asleep soon.

Ouch! That's true about sprains taking longer to heal than fractures. That's why I'm glad I broke my ankle instead of spraining it. My mom sprained hers really bad & didn't do what the Doc said & now years later still has problems. So make sure he keeps it elevated. I know how boys can be :)
