Because of dh's imposed less red meat diet plan, and my attempted healthier eating plan, I like my chili made with ground turkey.

i love it made w/ ground beef and not spicey, but i have to make 2 crockpots since the guys love the spice lol

so do you cut jalpeno peppers right into the chili while cooking , cause I suppose they could just add it into their meal so you'd only have to make one batch.

i cook it inside and also add more chili powder to it than i would for mine...we also cook some hot sauce in there as well..they like their stuff super hot lol

chili is a great comfort food i love to make & eat :O)we have it often and year round.

i use either ground beef or turkey, sometime cubed beef. we like it just a bit spicy but not burning the tongue. it is good with a bit of shredded cheddar sprinkled in.
my simple recipe:

cook whatever meat is being used & drain. in a heated crockpot mix together season packet,can of kidney beans, 2 cans mexican spiced chopped tomatoes. stir in meat. let cook on low for a couple hours.

it is even better the next day :O)
