Hi Amber,
Oh how neat you have someone like that in your life.
How long have you two been friends?
Bet you are just like her in many ways :)

Hey Paula,
You mean there are not any women that you would like to be like?
Not even an Aunt or a grandmother?

Making you think is a good thing though Paula,
I doubt you're alone with any of this believe me.
You can learn so much from others .. how not to be
As for the friends .. looks like you still have more than me ::blush::

i should say my mother too. my sister has such a talent for arts, crafts, sewing and cakemaking. she got all the talent from mom. not me.
they can both sew dresses that were better than store bought. mine always looked like it was made even if i spent hours going slowly not to mess it up.

Bet you can sew better than you realize
Not only that I am sure you have other wonderful inherited traits & qualities from her :)

Your grandmother indeed sounds like a loving strong woman.
Do try to be more like her in any & every way you can.
So glad you had her in your life.
A beautiful tribute to have named your daugher after her.
Oh yes I am sure both are indeed together

I voted Grandmother, but I want to clarify "paternal grandmother"

She's a wonderful lady, her parents came to the United States from the Ukraine in the early 1900's and she has taught me many things about my heritage and the traditional recipes that her mother & grandmother prepared.

Hi Blythe,
Loved reading your story about your grandmother.
How lucky you are to still have her here with you as your girls are.
I can *hear* how wonderful, loving & special she is .. wow is all I can say.
It's not easy to *watch* our loved ones grow, make mistakes & allow this from watching, kwim?
Truly she is a remarkable woman that has taught you well.
Indeed a relation with your own children & their grandparents is something to be nutured.
You all are very lucky to have one another like you all do.
Now yum on that pie & even better to know it's from your grandmother :)

Thank you so much for sharing your love of her with us :)

i hear you on that one paula. my mom was very hard to get along with ...except to our baby sister who mom to this day thinks can do no wrong. i think maybe that is why boys are so spoiled.i was determined not to be like my mom to my kids
our dad was the one who showed unconditional love and we got all our hugs & kisses from.
