As you may know, I went out yesterday and got a new cable converter box to fix the problem I was having with my cable. It worked and we had our cable back - but the time didn't come up on the display screen of the box! It did on the old one, but not on this one! I need to know the time several times an hour, LOL!
Dh called - more than once - and they said try unplugging the box and then replugging it to reset it. ...Nothing. They tried sending a signal to reset it... Nothing.
I stewed and fretted over it all night and tried the unplugging thing in the morning - no time showed up.
At 7 I called, got a very nice - real - person who told me how to get to the Member Services area on my cable menu, walked me through the choices there and showed me where it said "Time display On/Off". As soon as I changed the setting to "On" ...voila! Time! I'm thrilled more than I should be about this.
Where was this nice lady when dh was calling before? Why didn't I see that area when I was looking all over for a setting? And why am I so obsessed with knowing the time when I'm watching tv?

Kind of feel the ame way about having the time on the computer.
