Hey Y'all!!
I'm Stephanie and I would probably dress up as "Poetry in Motion." (pin poems to whatever you are wearing). I did it one year for work and everyone got a big kick out of it.
Otherwise I'd go as a Witch. :)
Hi Stephanie, I'm Suzan, co cl
Oh Gosh NO! I'm no poet! I haven't written poetry since I was in high school! LOL That gave me a good chuckle this morning! :) Thanks! ;) No, my interests are music, movies, singing, TV, trying to learn to knit and crochet, etc. I collect fairies and latte mugs and I LOVE to cook! :)
As for the costume. I guess you can really do whatever suits you as far as letting others pin poems to you. I didn't. I just looked online and found about 12 poems and then wrote passages from them on little pieces of colored paper with black magic marker so they would show up well. Then with safety pins, I attached them to my shirt. Everyone was pretty impressed with the "costume" but I actually got the idea from an internet site. :) tee hee!
I've also gone as a black eyed pea. I wore a green top, made the letter P out of cardstock and painted it green, pinned it on my shirt, gave myself a black eye with heavy blue and black and a little plum eyeshadow and POOF! I was a black eyed pea. :) I'm not one for store-bought costumes, can you tell?? :)
Hope you're having a good morning!

Hi and it's really great talking to you.... love to chit chat I see, which is good cause this is a very chatty board.
Welcome to the board :)
Oh an interesting idea for a costume, very cool.
In fact like the witch idea too, LOL
Have any furkids?
Suzan--
I think my sister has used the crayola idea for her kids.... I know her oldest daughter did poetry in motion...mainly because she's a total clutz! :) And I think one year she wore her dad's t-shirt that had his first name on the front and his last name on the back of the t-shirt...she went as her dad. I've never been big on halloween myself, as far as dressing up, but I love helping others come up with ideas and painting their faces and such. :)
My mom and most of my sisters can crochet... I'm in the very beginning stages so about all I can manage is a lop-sided potholder or dish cloth! :) And same goes for my knitting. I like crocheting best, I think. It goes along MUCH quicker... I'm very thankful I haven't developed carpal tunnel with as much as I do on the computer. But my hands to tend to cramp up with knitting. I think it's because I haven't figured out the best way to hold the dang needles! LOL Eh, maybe one day... :)
Thanks for the warm welcome to the board! :) Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
Take care!
Stephanie
