Hey!

Thanks for the welcome! :) Right now we do not have furkids. We used to have a Boxer, but due to many circumstances we had to re-home her. We both miss her terribly. As much as she was a handful she was a lot of compny. We are in the process of moving from Georgia to Florida. We'll be living in the Tampa area. Once we move and get completely settled in we've talked about getting a cat. We think having a cat would be lower maintenence than a dog. But we'll see. We have a lot going on right now and then once we move there will be even more with me trying to find a job... YUCK! But you never know with us!! :)

Looking forward to making lots of friends here!

Hey, Robin!!

One of my co-workers actually DID dress up like a cereal killer about 2 years ago. Last year she was a web server... she dressed in her waitress uniform and carried a serving tray filled with fake spider webs and spiders... OMG It was hillarious! She had spiders in her hair and black lipstick... long nails with spider webs painted on... It was GREAT!

I think the creative costumes where you have to go... 'WHAT is THAT?!' are better than the usual ones.... :)

Hi Stephanie,
Oh fun on moving to Florida .. we love it there.
Anywhere close to the beach?
Think you're wise to wait to settle in before getting a furkid.
Have heard cats are easier than dogs for sure.
Great to have you here with us :)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Florida move, even though I have always said, "I will NEVER live in Florida!" It's just never appealed to me. But the area where we'll be living is very nice and we are a mile away from the water so my husband will be VERY happy!! As far as a "beach" we're probably 10 mins from a true beach. There is a little bay about a mile away but no one goes there to swim... it's more to fish and boat.

Thanks again for the welcome! :)

Well, I don't know about "perfect"... we are already thinking about looking into buying a bigger place! LOL This one is very small, but it was basically just to get us started down there to make sure we like the area. So, we'll see!! :)

Yeah, my husband and I go down to the bay that's just down from the house and walk along the waters edge at night. Keep in mind it's mainly a boat ramp with a little bit of beach front so people can fish and catch crabs and such... We were down there for 2 weeks and every night we'd take our supper down there and eat then walk along the edge of the water... My husband had his flashlight so we could see all the underwater creatures! I can't wait!! :)

Wise to do as you're doing Stephanie,
Although what's not to love about Florida?
That is where we want to retire someday hopefully.
We have vacationed in Clearwater often & love it there.

Nice way to spend those evenings on that bit of water.
Small or not . .still the water
Pretty cool to see those underwater creatures ..
Guess that means the water was crystal clear, very neat about that :)

Hi Jodi here and this year I feel like dressing up like a pirate ... eye patch, sword, tall boots, striped shirt, big belt, red sash, tri-corn hat, peg leg, hook for a hand, treasure chest. ARGH!!

Actually no, the water right there is NOT crystal clear. Because it's a boat launch ramp it's quite dirty right there. However... there is an area in our little community that has a pier for fishing and you can see A LOT there. It's still not crystal clear but you can see. We are fairly close to Clearwater.
