You're Habitually Disorganized

Some people need help redirecting their behavior. Whether you're a stasher, stacker, piler, spreader, stuffer or hider, there are a million bad organizing habits, and we've all indulged in some of them from time to time.

Being habitually disorganized does not mean that we are forever cursed and stuck with chaos in our lives. Rather, it means that we have created our own state of disorganization with our collection of bad habits. Whether we are dealing with space, time, paper, information or tasks, we all have our own set of patterns that may sabotage our order. You must decide whether you will continue your bad habits and remain in your chaos or make the decision to escape.

LOL... i live in organised chaos! i'd rather play with my kids while growing up than spend their childhood cleaning to extremes.now they are grown and soon gone...i'll have all the time to get things organised :O) my mom didn't clean much...she had 7 kids!! lol i have been doing house cleaning since i was very young. being in a military family everything was neat and orderly. maybe that is why i don't mind the organised chaos...i am more relaxed on my own.

What's Your Organizing Obstacle?

You're Chronically Disorganized

If you've been disorganized in the past, have tried to change on your own and forecast similar unsuccessful results in your future, you may suffer from chronic disorganization.

Some conditions can coexist with chronic disorganization, such as depression, attention deficit disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder. These conditions may or may not be present in an individual with chronic disorganization. They can exacerbate the living and working situation of the individual with chronic disorganization.

The important thing to know is that even if you have chronic disorganization, you don't have to be stuck in disorder forever. I encourage people who think they may suffer from chronic disorganization to visit the Website of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization at NSGCD.org. There you can find a referral directory that will help you enlist the aid of an expert or investigate other resources.
