Do you ask for a "Doggie Bag"?

***Do you ask for a doggie bag when you leave a restaurant?

***Do you think the portions served in restaurants are getting too large?

***Would you rather have smaller portions and pay less OR pay more and have the larger portion enabling you to have it for lunch at home the next day..... hmmmmmm leftovers again! Do you think it would be a good idea to at least have the choice of small or large portions?

I was reading an iVillage blog (the first one I've ever read) about doggie bags,,,, and wanted to share it with you.... it's a cute article,  bags are cute, too !

What do you get instead of styrofoam? That's what most places give here. I hate it!

I ask for a doggie bag if I liked the food well enough, & if there's enough for another meal. If the food was good, I'd rather get the extra & eat it the next day. I used to chronically forget & leave the doggie bag on the table. :o( I try harder now to remember.

We have a guy in our hiking club who asks for a "chicken bag." We all give him our leftovers, & he takes it home & feeds it to his chickens. LOL.

When we were on the road all day, we'd snack until dinner time.
Tnen we'd shower and head for the buffet line.
You could fill your plate(a clean one each time)
as many times as you wanted.
So we'd get a HUGE salad, a medium entree and a tiny dessert.

When we ate breakfast early as the main meal, we'd often split
a "Country Breakfast" which was three pancakes, three eggs, and
three sausages.
With coffe, juice and a newspaper we were fine for a lotta miles!

Just truckin'!!!

Not many, I went to Seattle/Oregon a few times last winter.
This summer, he was driving here on the Kenai Peninsula and up to Anchorage every day.
Since the fishing season is just about over now, he hasn't made any plans past
November.

DS1 ssent me a box yesturday.
In it was an American Flag that flew over the base on Memorial Day,
a silk scarf from Egypt, an embroidered tunic from Cairo, and a
red t-shirt with the picture of a bull on the chest from Paloma Spain.
He wished his dad a happy birthday and said he can't believe he will be on the
way or at home in about a month.

Then I got a call from the family support group for the NG reminding us if we were
planning to send things to our men in Iraq, they are scheduled to leave in about 30
days, so get to the post office right away.
They are supposed to be back at Ft.Dix the second week in November and on their way
home by Tnanksgiving.
I said that's good, because they left the day before Thanksgiving last year, so it
will sure put a lot of color into the holiday season this year.
Last year we had a Blue Christmas. She thanked us for our son who is serving in the
armed forces in a war zone.

So in the letter from DS1 he will be home for Thanksgiving, and DH will not think
about leaving until after that. Or if we will go Outside for the winter.

Sorry to ramble!
