Being an New Englander myself,,, (NYstate) , I also like the 4 seasons... but over the years I just don't have the nerves and patience for snow.

I was born and raised in Michigan-Holly
and moved to Alaska.
My sons were cold weather athletes....yes I handed out cookies and oranges
at -10 degrees for the cross country skiiers.
My DS2 xc skiied all thru high school until his junior year.
Then he started xc running and got a 5-year college scholarship.
DS1 was a football star so that was a lotta cold bench sitting too!
He walked onto(without trying out for) the football team at Montana State.
He also played basketball, and later, after college was over took up boxing,
and won the Alaska State heavyweight boxing championship for a year,
after he joined the ASNG
Now he is stationed in Iraq and almost ready to come home after a tour of duty.
He emailed me he sent a footlocker home and to hold all his mail.
(Also sent two music videos of his vacation in July with his new wife
from Peru who lives there(Peru)They went to Cairo for two weeks and then he
ran with the bulls in Spain for a week.
The other video was of him in Iraq with him posing with guns and camels and other
scenes on an army base.At the end he says he can't wait to come home!
