I'm fried!

OMG, I'm exhausted.  The last several days have been just insane.

Last Wednesday I got sick at work right after lunch.  My boss basically threw me out, and I took Thursday off as well.  Probably some kind of tummy bug, but it was nasty.  I was able to go back to work on Friday (I probably could have on Thursday, but...)

Then on the weekend, I discovered I'm the Invisible Woman.  My roommate has a six-year-old grandson who's known me since before he could talk.  Well, now when I say hello to him he totally blows me off.  I might as well have not said a thing.

Because of a lot of factors I ended up very isolated and alone this weekend, and broke into sobs on Saturday afternoon for reasons I'm still not totally clear on (but it kills me that I've ended up so alone.  I've tried hard to expand my social circle, but it always collapses again).

Then Monday at work my deskmate decided to pitch a pout.  Around Halloween we play a game called BOO.  Someone places some treats on your desk with a sign that says BOO in big letters and a poem about how you spread the holiday cheer by BOOing two other people and hang the sign in your cube so people know you've been BOOed.  Well, she got sniffy about why should she have to, didn't we know she doesn't celebrate Halloween (no, you never said anything about it), and when I admired her Boo basket, she says, "you want it?"  Someone went to a lot of time and trouble for her and she turns up her nose.  (I got my BOO this morning, and it was spectacular!  Halloween potholders, a jack-o-lantern basket, and a bottle of wine -- so who needs candy?).

Then today, we found out that our company is eliminating our biggest health plan at open enrollment this year!  (This health plan also insures roughly 75% of the insured people in California).  Most of us are on this plan -- do I need to say the office was in a total uproar this afternoon?

My year-end vacation can't come fast enough -- I'm totally wrung out.

A long tough week for sure, wiw.
The BOO sure does sound fun though ..
Too bad on that co worker, bah humbug to her ::blush::
Wonder why your roomie's grandson is like that all of a sudden ::sigh::
Maybe talk with her .. perhaps a phase of his too.
Hoping Friday flies for you & you get to enjoy your weekend :)
