How neat that you & DD are going out like you do, lucy for you both
Enjoy the special time with DD & the game tomorrow as well as the weekend :)
Let's see, we took ds to the airport (sigh), then went to the renovation site, then to check out new radiators, got lost on the way, after that finally did a bit of grocery shopping (bought baby bonito) and had a nice fish dinner with salad and fresh bread... first I cooked anything the whole week , even though ds was home... we ate at the grandpareents house.... he wanted to be with us and them the whole time..... (
DS1 called yesturday from Seattle,
where he was waiting to get a plane
to Anchorage. He was there for dinner,
and we saw the report on the local
evening news.He called from the base,
they have to stay there until after
the welcoming home ceremony on Saturday.
DH won't be going to Anchorage until
Monday, then he can give DS1 a ride home
in the semi.
So this weekend, we're frantically cleaning
and polishing up to make room for DS1
when he's finally home after a year in Iraq!
Yippee
oh yes, his entire unit came home unharmed
so there are a lot of happy mothers today.
Unfortunately the Stryker brigade from Fairbanks
had to extend their stay another 180 days right
before they were scheduled to come home, so the
ARMY paid for them to fly to Anchorage for a little
celebration, shopping, skating and fun then a train
ride back home on Sunday.
Hugs
Awww bummer on having taken ds to the airport ::sigh::
He'll be back home again soon though right?
Sounds like you're busy that's for sure, LOL
Hope you get some rest in there & feel better :)
How wonderful & exciting to hear your good news.
Bet you're just so thrilled & can hardly wait.
A great weekend for you indeed :)
