Another regional quirk!

I grew up in the Detroit area and we always called it pop,

or less frequently,soda pop.

Although we never drank much as kids,(Koolade was our drink or milk;sometimes ice tea)

the only pop we really ever got in my family

was Vernors,at my grandpa's house (and that is really a ginger ale.)

We never went to burger joints or fast food restaurants

until I grew up and started dating, and there weren't a lotta choices

when we lived north of Pontiac.

But that's a whole different topic,eh?
