Our dog has a new home

Well, as some of you know, we had to find a new home for one of our dogs.  (He wasn't getting along the greatest with our son...and with another little one on the way, we decided this was for the best.)

A lady and her 10 year old son came by on Wednesday night (I was at work, luckily!) and took him home with them.  It's very quiet in our house without him....and I think our black lab misses her play buddy :(

The lady called us last night to let us know how things were going....which was SO nice of her!  I guess Murphy (the dog) has been following the little boy all around the house, and slept in his room and seems to be getting along with their other dog.  And she said if we ever wanted to call and see how he was doing, to just give her a call!  How nice of her to offer that!!  (I might call next week or the week after, and then probably won't after that.....)

Anyway, it was a tough decision but one that needed to be made.  Just one of many tough decision I'll have to make as an "adult"  ROFLOL

Thanks for reading and letting me share.

It sounds like he got a good home, with a caring family, and one that knows how you felt, giving him up.

Like you said, it was a hard decision, but one that had to be made and I think

Thanks, Ann :)

It's so hard with pets because I think of them as my "children"....which probably sounds a little "crazy", but we've had our pets for years...way before we had our son, ya know?!

Awww how wonderful to hear this Amber,
Good you found a home for him & all is going well.
Yes you & your other dog will miss him but you know you did the right thing.
Now the question is will you get another dog sometime soon?
We want to know if you do :)

amber,

it is so nice he found a good home like that. maybe ethan was too young for him? seeing he likes the older boy.
yup...there will be lots of other "adult" decisions as your kids get older :O)some of these fall on the mom to be the "bad"guy...lol the kids get over it.

less tha a week to visit elliot!! i can sense your excitement:O)

that's not crazy...our pets are family :O) i've had tiger for 14 years now. i get sad thinking he is getting old and probably has not many years left in him. even tho he is very active and in great health.
