I'm back home to Germany, took the 6 am flight.... nice to get here early, but getting up at 3:30 am is a bear. ugh...   I lost weight while I was there,,  hmm about close to 8 lbs....  too busy, horrendous diet, not eating at all during the hectic day....  then too tired to eat,,, and then the coughing from my bronchitis,,, that got better, the dr gave me an inhaler (Pat,  you know that treatment from your ds) ,  but then I had to go and sign the order for the new  kitchen , and the architect had a horrible cold,,, and of course now I've cuaght that ... and the bronchitis is coming BACK.   so after doing a tad bit of grocery shopping for the next couple days so I can stay home... and a load of laundry, and a lunch at Thai restaurant ; I'm in my pj's trying to catch up here.....

We did make progress finally with the new condo construction...  the marble floor in the kitchn, entry way and guest toilet was polished on Saturday. (Amazing how all the other workers would just throw crap and tools and paint, and old ripped out tiles, and dirt on to the marble....  it did however shine up nicely, a tad bit slippery. Anyway, the bathroom vanities , sinks , toilets faucets were installed.  The new front door was installed,,,, a tremendous amount of work (9 hours), jack hammering out the old door frame in solid cement and moving the opening over to the left about 6 inches...  It does look nice though.... not quite finished,,, it's a door that a bull dozer could not plow down... so safe.  The final coat of shellac to the wood floors was made.  The new radiators were installed, no easy job either as the pipes did not match the old ones... (of course).    The mnost exciting part was on Saturday evening.... when dh and I went to a furniture designer and he helped us design furniture for  7 rooms....  (Still have one room to do but that will have to wait , as I don't know what to utilize the room for.)  We went beserk designing couches and tables and end tables, chairs, Tv stands, coffee tables, arm chairs..   selecting fabrics.....  hmmm I have this thing for wanting /buying one of a kind furniture. it was fun....  So that order is in..... don't know the price yet ,,,, nor the delivery but hey.... rome wasn't built in a day....

So whats up with you all?

how was the weekend, plans for the week, are you glad the holiday is over?

i take echinachea for colds. it does help a bit. my doctor is great for alternative medicine. she gave me a pamplet to read as i take a few different ones. even tho they are just an herbal supplement you should still ask your dr before using especially if you are on any medicines as some do interfere and react to medicines. taken properly herbal supplements can be good for you.

ann,

that is so scary that he just takes the meds without reading the label. someday he just may find that is waht is wrong with him...taking the wromg meds.

that is great on the diets! i had cut out salt years ago. now...just eating a salty pretzel makes my mouth feel yucky. i can taste the salt for at least a day after. plain popcorn was not easy at first but now that is the only way i will eat it.
i have my dads genetics. no matter what i do my cholesterol is still high. i eat healthy but i know i need to excercies more. i'm afraid my dr. is going to do a real medicine this year.

Yes I do. I buy 1 Fantasy five ticket every day, 1 mega money twice a week & 1 lotto twice a week. If the lotto gets up to 50 million or more I'll buy more than 1 ticket. The most I've ever won at one time was $611.00 on a Fantasy five ticket, I had 4 of 5 numbers.

One day I'll win the big one!!! :0)

I feel really bad for my dh, he had been with his company long enough to have 4 weeks vacation a year. Now it will take him 10 years to get that back. But, like you said, someday it will be worth it, & I'll get 2 more weeks of "me time" vacation before he gets his 1st one with this company.
