  • Loud music
  • People who drink too much
  • Unruly kids
  • Family arguments/fights
  • Too tired to enjoy

My answer is a combo also~~usually too tired to enjoy- just so much to do to get a holiday party together (its a all month thing- between decorating- putting up lites, sending cards, shopping, wrapping, food prep- etc etc )

I'm w/ Suzan on the unruly kids- can't really blame the kids- its the foolish parents- that want to stay too long & too late,

Im with Bunny and Suzan on this.

Also when my step daughters come over for Christmas dinner, they dont lift a finger to help clear the table or help in the kitchen.

Understand what you mean about the kids Suzan,
Ours were never like that were they?
Don't you wonder why people don't offer to help a host at a party?
I mean isn't that ommon courtesy?
True on the music unless there is dancing :)

Good point that families can tend to stay too long Bunny,
Then the kids do get cranky which in turn get in trouble for, LOL
Let's hope many parents learn this year
It is a lot of work to have a party
