I do believe that reading to your kids is extremely extremely important, but not necessarily will spark their interest later on.. I read every night to ds when he young (older than yours

thats is a good book ;) I am a huge reader, I LOVE to read when I have the time.

I am reading Black Light by Stephen Hunter, its a good book but it is set back in the times, so there are words in it i do not like but thats how it was back then..next book I am reading will be Stephen Kings Cell...

I dont read to my little one, she reads to me, I just nod and say words to her LOL She on the other hand tries to, even though you can hardly understand her, its cute... I did read to all my children while I was pregnant and they were all early readers, I try and let them do their own thing and when they are a bit older, we start on the words. I think with my boys, they were reading by 3 1/2, with destiny she was around 3ish I think, she knew how to write her ABC's though by that age..She was in preschool as well, on a 2nd grade level by Kindergarden. So I am hoping it is the same w/ katelynn..but like
