Who's baking XMAS cookies this year?

On Saturday, we went to dinner at a friends house (the first time to be invited).   The girl is a WONDERFUL hostess and cooks  heavenly.....   because of that dinner that I thought of this question to pose here....  after dinner around 10 pm we had tea, and she came out with a huge platter of XMAS cookies that she had baked.  There were eight different kinds, all totally delicious.   Later she showed me to her kitchen, and I looked at all the canisters of cookies that she had been baking for the last week...  (she has two kids so I was really truly impressed) .  Not only were her cookies wonderful ,but the canisters that she stored them in were too.   She sent me home with a small canister of her cookies, which I thought was sweet...so I am thinking of making her some real American XMAS cookies (or some cranberry/orange nut bread).   Here's my question.....

Do you make XMAS cookies?

What kind?

How many?

How do you store them?

Do you make extra to give as presents?

Do you bake anything else for XMAS,,,,, gingerbread men, gingerbread house, cranberry nut loaf,,, etc etc... ?

Good thread.

I will be baking my famous Banana Nut Raisin Bread (I'm going to add "brandy" in it), wrap it up in red/green plastic wrap, stick a label on it, and give it away to my office staff (LTC, MSG, and MAJ). These are "mini" loaves that bake in it's little throw away tin and I can make as many to give away and I thought I'd give those away to other friends here at work who are nice to me during the year :-)

Anyone interested in the recipe?
