bath robe

i'm in search of a new bath robe. however, i'd like the loops for the tie to be like my old robe. they're like the loops on pants for belts - sewn on the top & the bottom, and lay flat. KWIM? it cant be a loop where both ends are sewn at the same spot, nor where they're sewn at the top & bottom but dont lay flat.

does anyone know of robes that are made like that? i checked quite a few places already - a few stores at the mall, linens & things, kmart, walmart, target, kohls and i cant find one anywhere. i tried looking online at a few sites, but cant tell if the loop is what i'm looking for or not. i don't want to waste time & money buying one if its the wrong kind.

thanks!

Hi Kimberly,
Have you tried looking online or going to Penny's & Sears?
They might have what you need ..
Otherwise I will see if there are any other places that might.
Let us know what you find out :)

tim & i went to a different targt last night. it just opened up 2 months ago. i looked at the women's robes, but they weren't what i was looking for. so we moved on to the guys dept to find tim some boxers. we went past the guys robes, and they had the loops that i was looking for!!! so i tried a size small/medium, it fits, so i bought it! its nice and fuzzy feeling too, better than some of the women's robes i've felt. lol

i'm excited!

i wanted loops that are flat, like pant loops for belts. all the loops i saw had both ends sewn together, so the loop moves around, and i dont like that.

i found myself a guys robe at target that had the loops i wanted. it fits, feels nice & soft, so io bought it. i dont care if its for a

Bunny, I started reading your post & thought, "Who, besides somebody like Kim who's looking for it, would notice how the loops are sewed on on a robe?!" Then I saw that you sew & studied fashion design. LOL. My best friend studied design, too, & worked for years in theater costume design. She knows everything there is to know about period clothes, the history of women's underwear (!), and fabrics. She's the one who turned me into a total cotton snob. Neither of us will wear anything but natural fibers. I go to the theater a lot, & I now see costumes through her eyes. In fact, I went to see Christmas Carol on stage Saturday, & groaned when Ghost of Christmas Past came out in a wedding dress. Ugh! LOL.
