Refrigerator broke

Sat, 12-30-2006 - 11:57am

I woke up this AM and opened the freezer up to take out some breakfast for Ethan, and everything had defrosted!  There was a pool of water and some other liquid at the bottom and it was NOT cold.  We had to throw out everything in the freezer....there was no way we could quick cook it all up and eat it....LOL

So, we started to call repair places.....try to find a place open that has openings on the Sat. before a holiday.....ugh!   Most places couldn't come out until Tuesday.....but I ended up finding a guy who could come out TODAY!  YaY :)

He just left and replaced a part and got our frig working.....for now, anyways.  He said he can't guarantee us how long it will last...could be a few weeks, or could be a few years.  Nice huh?

At least it is working now and hopefully will continue to do so for a few more years.  (Our frig is only a little over 5 years old.....)  And it only cost us about $100 too....for parts and time, which $100 is a $100, but at least we have a working frig and we don't need to buy a new one!

Phew!

I'm glad you found someone to come out and fix it! You just never realize what a PITA a major appliance breaking down is until it happens.
