Hi honey's, we're home!!

Just got back from vacation around 6ish tonight. We spent a week in Branson, MO and then yesterday drove 2 hours more to visit with my cousin who lives in Rogers, AR. Left her this morning after a late breakfast with her and headed home.

We stayed at Timber Ridge Lodge - Welk Resorts in Branson. Wish I could show you photos, but they are so new that they don't have them on their website yet. They are time share resorts and fabulous!! They're rustic and I don't normally go for rustic that much, but these are way upscale fancy schmancy rustic and I loved our condo..beautiful!! I felt like a celebrity or like I just stepped into HGTV!! The kitchen and bathroom had granite countertops and vanity, the furniture was fabulous as was the accessories. The huge bathroom had a shower..stone and mosaic..that could easily hold six people if one were so inclined..lol..with a huge rain shower spout above plus a couple more on either side. Ohhh..baby..John & I *loved* our shower..wink..wink!! lol!

There was also a fireplace in the living room and another in the bedroom. The one in the bedroom was a see through between the bed and the jacuzzi tub. Oh..yea..very nice and cool enough evenings that we put both fireplaces on..so nice and romantic with soft music playing and glasses of wine. Felt like another honeymoon!!

The shows and such that we went to were.....

Dinner with the group and then we all went to the Jim Stafford..very funny and good singing too.

Breakfast With The Stars..10 or 12 lesser known stars came and performed a little sample of their shows. Lots of fun and great entertainment as well as a good breakfast too. This was at Stormy Point resorts where John's sister's and their group stayed..six in their group.....scroll down and see how cute these condos are..all are a nautical theme and individual little homes......

Silver Dollar City..went there two different days and saw 8 shows total there too.

Thatt night John and I went alone to The Showboat Branson Belle.....

This is a beautiful paddle wheel show boat with a very tasty dinner while sailing around the lake for a couple of hours. We saw the evening singing and dance show plus Todd Oliver ventriloquist..very funny..and the Russian Acrobats..excellent! During the singing & dancing, they did show tunes, oldies, patriotic, and more. During the song "Shout", one of the cute guys pointed to me and I threw up my arms and loudly said, "Shout!!" fun being in that tiny part of the show..y'all know I'm not shy!! LOL!!

Next day John and I had free and mostly slept late and hung around the condo until it was time for dinner with the whole group back at Stormy Point..barbecue dinner around the pool with a blues band. Later that evening we went to the Haygoods Show..excellent high energy family of 7 brothers and one sister..so fun!!

Now we're up to Wednesday afternoon...saw a formal show of Jon England..pianist..wonderfully talented..beautiful show.....

That evening we went to the "Shepard Of The Hills" show, which is the story from the book by Harold Bell Wright. It is reinacted on a live stage setting with live horses & buggies, square dancing, gun fight, and lots more...was very chilly that night and it is all outdoors..but an excellent show......

Thursday is when we went the second day to Silver Dollar City. Afterwards, we went back to Stormy Point and John's sisters fixed dinner for all of us. John and I went "home" that evening to watch the Vice Presidential Debate on tv.

Friday..last day..we slept in again and hung around until show time at 5pm when we all went to the John Tweed show. We had never heard of him before until he sang at the Breakfast With The Stars and liked his singing so much that we went to his show..very good! Afterwards, we all went out to dinner together.

Saturday..they headed home and we headed to my cousin's house.

One of the six people of John's sister's group was a lady friend whom I'd only briefly met before plus another couple that neither John nor I had met before..liked all of them very much..good group to have fun with. John & I had enough alone time too as neither of us wanted to be with the whole group all of the time. He and I were going to take in some other shows too during our alone time..but..well..we never got around to doing that..tee hee. ;-)

It was a great time every day and we're glad we went and are now happy to be back home again too. Hope you are all doing well. Doubt that I'll get caught up, so will continue on tomorrow. Thought about all of you, but never did get on the computer while there.

Sweet dreams..or have a happy day everyone.....

Hugs all around.......

Thank you to everyone, it's nice to be missed! It's good to be back in the Sandbox, but wish we were still on vacation. Real life responsibility sucks big time!! It's been a stressful day making the reentry adjustment, but I'm doing okay.

We did have a really great time..really really great time!!
