Yes I'm using the frazzled icon because I swear my doctor only hears half of what I say!

I showed him whats left of my bumps, explained that they got to be the size of baby peas when I found  them last week and that I'd been wearing a brace out of desperation and the tingling was almost gone but didn't know if it was the pills or because the bumps were going down.  All he said was 'oh it looks like there is fluid in there'

YA FREAKING THINK??????????????????????

What I didn't tell him was I'd stopped taking my antidepressants on Friday because I had to find out if indeed the tingling was still there - I realize that it would take time for the drugs to wear off.  I left an hour earlier from work and did my usual 2.1 mile walk.  I noticed toward the end of my walk my hand was starting to tingle again.  During the night - I knew the tingling was back...aarrggghhhhh

Anyway I was getting frustrated because I expected him to send me for x-rays but he didn't.  I asked if I had to go to the neurologist and he said I needed to keep that appointment because while I'm waiting for 2 months now - if I decide I do have to go - I could be in for as much as a 6 month wait if I cancel this one.

Then he asked me how my back was - for him that was a very unusual question.  I said I actually thought my walking was doing it good because I noticed on Thursday I wasn't taking near as many pills as I normally do.  And while I'm saying this - I realized he was asking because these antidepressants are also helping my back!!   I was utterly shocked - why the heck didn't he give me 'happy pills' for my back 5 years ago  HUH????

Any way the story ends - keep wearing the brace, keep taking my happy pills and go to the neurologist in November as planned.  That also means, less typing on the laptop cause I can't type wearing the brace.  These hands are my livelyhood so you better believe I'm doing what he says til I find out what the heck is going on....

If these are 'happy pills' why the heck am I so frazzled?????

Hey Rusty,
always something for sure, LOL
Do go back & do what you were doing before ..
However many write down how theback & tingling are at times.
That way you might be able to pinpoint it a bit better.
Feel better hon :)

Aw, gee, I can feel your frustration! Like Suzan, I also do tons of research and go to doctor's appointments with lists of ideas and findings that have been helpful in deciding what has been wrong with various ailments. My doctors have always been good at listening to my findings.

I just finished saying to Pat - I LOVE this board because you point not only me - but others - in directions we wouldn't think about when we post about our lives here.
