Update on my cat

I got in to see the vet yesterday and it seems she may have dry skin or an allergy to something (although I don't have anything new in the house and haven't been using any new cleaners).  I have a steroid spray that I have to put on her tummy twice a day. And I turned off one of the dehumidifiers in the basement, in case it was affecting the upstairs air, and I think it's dry enough down there now to just have one on, on a low setting (In the summer, we need two going).

So far, so good. I think she's leaving that area alone and I'll know for sure if it works if and when fur starts to grow on her tummy again.

So glad you were able to get into the vet and get something for your kitty! I hope it works well and she's soon her furry-tummy self again! ;-)

No, I don't! I've never heard of that. I'll have to get some and see if it helps, because she's still licking it and if she won't stop, I don't think it'll get better. Thanks for the tip!

Dh has to clean and hook up our furnace humidifier. That might help, too, and not just the cat.

I hope kitty feels better by now. Had that with my cat when I had her years ago, had it with my dog too..special shampoo, meds, etc. Pets can get really expensive!
