here ıs my very sımple explanatıon of what's up wıth the eye. (VERY sımple explanatıon as I understood ıt.)
I'm back at ds's offıce and hıs keyboard ıs dıfferent wıth the turkısh settıng so excuse what may appear as typos. The eye dr was a terrıfc lady , a professor. she was very kınd and complete, Here's the thıng. As we age (yes yet another perk to agıng)LOL the eye gets softer and when younger ıt actually ıs stuck to the area behınd ıt. Then over the years thıs breaks down and eventually ıt;s not sutck there anymore whıch ıs normal. sometımes all of ıt doesn;t come off so there remaın places where ıt ıs stıll stuck and I have a few of those places. Those places sometımes when you look around actually pull at the retına adn create those flashes. It ıs hoped that those places wıll eventually break wıthout tearıng the retına. When the retına tears one wıll see stars or red dots but hundreds of them. she has no reason to belıeve that we are waıtıng for that to happen ın my eye. ı just have to put up wıth ıt for now. Thıs ıs somethıng that I can do now that I know that ıt's not dangerous, nor ıs there a tear. So that's my news and can not waıt to go home to my amerıcan keyboard. So many strange letters here LOL not to mentıon that my eyes were dlıated and are not clear yet

Sounds like some *time* will help it along ..
Meaning all by itself & hopefully soon.
In the meantime .. take it easy & rest them eyes :)
I'm so relieved for you to hear this good news. I was fearful of your eyesight. I've never heard of that before about the aging eye. Wonder what else we'll encounter as we progress into these beautiful golden years? So glad we all have each other to lean on in the good times and the

Glad that you finally found out what was causing it.
My dad hada detached retina. He had lazer surgery to correct it. One week on his back and he was better than he was years ago. I remember so well because he did it in the summer so i was home and did the eyedrops for him.
I hope it gets better on its own...but if not there is a cure...and a good one too!

Interesting!!!
So .... how old are you???
Well, I learned something new about aging...like I needed to know something else....LOL
Really happy to know it's nothing serious...just a wait and see thing *sigh*
What a relief Twigs.....anything involving our eyes is always of great concern. I experienced some eye problems while on high doses of steroids, it was very scary--had to change my perscription twice and even then it was still hard to read---I resorted to a magnifing glass at the worst point!! Today my eyes are much better but still have room for improvement---at least I can read again, so no complaints from me!!
Take care---have a great day!

You're absolutely right we really do need eachother as we plow threw these years....so many changes and many more questions! As in "what do you mean I'm too old to run that Marathon"...haahaa! Most all my friends about my age (over 70) don't feel or act their age---by the way--what is acting your age anyway?...just how are we supposed to act---and WHERE IS THE RULE BOOK THAT TELLS US HOW TO ACT ?.......does anybody know?
