I don't have an electric can opener, so I can't help you there. I have a Pampered Chef one that's okay.

Ann
I will have to look for those appliance brands. we may have to have a home party to get anything pampered chef here.
A good measuring cup or cupsset are hard to find. measuring spoons too!I like the clear cups you can see the measurements in and out...like yours!
I have thought about getting the vaccumn sealers too...sounds like it could be a very good deal!
Our microwave is good but not anything special. it stays on the counter though all the renovating so we got a cheap one this time. when we redue the kitchen we will look at a fancy one to match the other stuff!!
There are so many gadgets nowadays that are on thing gadgets. too much stuff to have it all arround. I would love a new deep fryer ...the one that drains oil into a container below and is easy to clean would be nice. the one i have is pretty good...so will do for a while too! I can take the part that holds the oil out and put it in the fridge with plastic wrap...that is nice to have!
I also have a couple counter top ovens and Love them too. now they have a new one that has a nice glass top. maybe buy that next year and put the small one i have in the rv. I am trying to get grant to move to the lake fro the summer...so this would bew nice to have too!

Yes, you have to have a home party to get Pampered Chef stuff. I only have a few things that were not so expensive, lol.

Hey Glenda! How's my younger Canadian twin doing?? ;-)

Is it just me that has not been able to find a decewnt electric can opener?? Do you have a brand you love...i just tossed another. The hand canopener is hard on my arthritis most days now.

-> I just use my hand held Kitchen Aid opener. Figured I don't use many canned goods, maybe occasionally tuna or tomato paste so it's not worth the investment. If I really want one, I'll just buy the attachment that goes on my mixer.

What about toasters?? We have a 4 slicer but the old ugly one still is the best but looks like crap!! what do you have??

-> I have a two slice Sunbeam Toaster. Cost about $15 and it has outlasted the last two toasters we bought. One was extremely expensive that hubby just had to have and it crapped out on us within months.

any othe appliances you have and love/ hate??

-> I love my Kitchen Aid mixer, KA hand mixer, KA blender, KA chopper, KA coffee maker. Hate the juicer hubby bought years ago against my wishes. ..too expensive to juice fruit. I also hate the vacuum sealer he bought. Oh and I love my stove, Kenmore, 15 years old and I'm probably the only one left in our complex who has theirs. Kenmore appliances are lousy now. . .hate my washer, dryer and dishwasher.

they just don't make stuff like they used to!

-> No kidding.

Why do you hate your Kenmore dishwasher? That's the only brand I've ever had and I've always been happy with it. Although, I don't know how long a d/w is supposed to last.

The last one we had lasted about 10 years. This newer one doesn't clean well. I've changed soap, programs, increased the hot water tank temp and it still does not clean like it should. I don't think the sprayer arms get enough pressure to go around nor does it fill like it should. Oh well.

I'll knock on wood for you. ;-)

THis is the electric can opener that I have. I like it fine as it's very easy to get the can in there correctly making it easy for my arthritic hands, it cuts well, it has a magnet to hold the lid on so you don't have to hold the can as it's being cut, the cutter comes off easily and put back on easily for cleaning,
